Rafael Nadal is going to play against Nick Kyrgios in the finals of Bejing ATP tournament. The two players reached their place in the most important match of the tournament after today’s victories.

The world No. 1 was better than Grigor Dimitrov, while Kyrgios had more success against Alexander Zverev.

Nadal had some problems against Dimitrov who significantly improved in the second part of this season. After two hours and 19 minutes of play, Rafa won with 2-1 in the sets, 6-3 4-6 6-1.

Once again we saw the Spaniard in his usual mode, when he breaks the opponent with the strength and the fitness in the crucial moments of the game.

Nadal had one breakpoint advantage in the second set, and despite that, he lost. Some of the players would be in a knock-down, but not Rafa.
His mental strength in situations like this one is his biggest advantage, and this match is a clear proof. Breakpoint in the opening gem of the third set, followed by a fierce rhythm which Dimitrov couldn’t endure, are telling you everything about the development on the court. Nadal fully deserved to win.

“I am very pleased the way that I have been playing the whole week, after a very tough first day. So here I am. I am in the final. Another chance tomorrow to compete in a big match. That’s important for me. That’s why we practice every day and try to improve.” the Spaniard said after the match.

Kyrgios spent less time on the court, but he had an equally tough task. The Australian had Alexander Zverev as his obstacle, but the temperament youngster has shown that he can provide excellent games when he focuses on tennis.
19th player in the world triumphed with 6-3 7-5, not allowing a single break during the whole time. Throughout the entire tournament, Kyrgios dropped only one set, and that happened against the older Zverev, Mischa.

“It was a tough match; he’s one of the best players in the world right now,” Kyrgios praised Zverev after the game has ended.

“He has a massive future ahead, and I’m really good friends with him, so it’s always fun playing him.

“At the same time, I know we both want to win, and I’m just really happy with the way I played today.”

When the journalists asked him about the upcoming clash with Nadal, Kyrgios carefully choose his words.

“It was a tough match; he’s one of the best players in the world right now,” Kyrgios said of his vanquished opponent, ranked four in the world.

“He has a massive future ahead, and I’m really good friends with him, so it’s always fun playing him.

“At the same time, I know we both want to win, and I’m just really happy with the way I played today.”‘

It is going to be the fourth match between these two players. They both have two wins apiece. The record in this year is also even, Nadal won in Madrid, while Kyrgios did the same in Cincinnati.
