Shock At Stamford Bridge, Liverpool Fails again, Rooney Scores A Last Minute Winner

The start of the Premier League was magnificent. In the opener of the season, we saw seven goals, in the second game six and during this Saturday we’ve witnessed several spectacular results.
A shocking turn of development has been seen at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea lost against Burnley,
Arsenal and Leicester provided us with one memorable performance at Emirates Stadium. Liverpool once again disappointed and allowed a goal in last seconds of the match losing two valuable points. Manchester City cracked Brighton’s defense in the second half.
The newbies in the top flight of English football, Huddersfield made a huge surprise and won in an away game, while on the other hand, West Brom Albion and Everton used the home ground advantage and put down minimal wins.

But let’s go from the start when reviewing today’s games.

Chelsea lost the premiere of the season for the first time in 18 years. In the end, the reigning champions had nine players on the pitch. The referee Craig Pawson showed the red cards to Gary Cahill in the first half and afterward to Cesc Fabregas. We have to say that Pawson had a disastrous performance today, because he often made terrible judgments. The Blues lost 2-3 against Burnley, although they had three goals deficit at one point. With 9 players on the pitch, the home team managed to score one goal and even to attack for an equalizer.

Liverpool once again disappointed. Is obvious that Jurgen Klopp has a lot of difficulties in running this team. The Reds are very inconsistent, and the fact that Philippe Coutinho is probably not going to stay at Anfield gives additional worries to the fans. Liverpool has allowed a goal in the last seconds of the match today, and Watford equalized for 3-3, snapping one much-needed point.

Wayne Rooney scored his first goal for Everton after almost 13 years, and he brought three points to his boyhood club. It was an absolute delirium at Goodison Park when Rooney scored in the injury time of the first half. Eventually, Everton – Stoke 1-0.

The Citizens were having major troubles in the first half of the game played in Brighton. They just couldn’t find the answer for the defense of the home team. However, Sergio Aguero has shown why is he one of the best strikers in the world, and after his opener, everything was much easier. After him Dunk scored an own goal and that was the final result, 0-2.

The same result was seen in the game between West Brom Albion and Bournemouth. We had an opportunity to watch one interesting and fierce battle between the two teams who prefer a similar style of football. The scorer of the decisive goal was Ahmed Hegazy in the 31st minute of the match. Virtually nothing had been seen until that moment.

Huddersfield Town the club which today played for the first time in their history in Premier League, utterly demolished Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park 0-3. The absolute star of this match was Steve Mounie, who scored two goals and wrote history for his team.

A very boring event took place in Southampton, at St Mary’s Stadium. The Saints and Swansea City played without goals in a match which should be forgotten as soon as possible. The home team dominated throughout the whole 90 minutes, but they simply could not breach the hard defense of the Welsh team.
