Usain Bolt finished his magnificent career with a bronze medal on Saturday, oficially becoming the legend of the athletics and the sport.

We already wrote about the problems and the situation in the sports regarding doping and politics etc. It is very bad. Awful we might say. But one thing is probably going to hurt us more than all of the injustice and cheating together. That is the fact that the only guy who maintained the balance between honesty and dishonesty decided to retire.

The competitions are not going to be the same ever again. Nothing is going to be the same in sports after his departure. Many of the fans were disappointed because of his bronze medal. They wanted him to win the gold and to retire in the best possible way. They were eager that he defeats Justin Gatlin one more time. Unfortunately, justice can’t always win.

Usain Bolt’s first love was cricket, but the coaches forced him to switch to athletics. And pretty soon their decision proved to be right. At the regional championships in the Carribean in 2001, he won 2 silver medals.

Soon he became the first junior athlete who ran 200m in less than 20 seconds. At that point, everyone knew that this guy had enormous capabilities. The rest is history.

There is a hope that Bolt is not going to leave the sport, and that we will have a chance to see him once again competing for victories. Only this time, in a different field. After 9 gold Olympic medals, 11 gold medals from the World Championships and numerous records, the Jamaican native decided that he wants to try to play some football.

He is known as one of the biggest overseas fans of Manchester United. So far he hasn’t been contacted by Jose Mourinho, and he is training with Borussia Dortmund at the moment. It was confirmed by his agent Ricky Simms.

“I don’t want to name names but he will go to Dortmund because the CEO of Puma, who is a good friend of ours, is on the board at Borussia Dortmund. He will go to train with them, ” he said.

He also stated that at this moment they have 12 different clubs who are interested in landing Usain Bolt in their team. “Football he has always talked about. If you ask him, he will want to play football and because he has said that we have had a dozen clubs who would like him to go for a trial with them,” he told reporters.

Imagine Usain Bolt sprinting down the left flank against Bayern Munich or in the Champions League against some other big European club?It would be one hell of an experience. We do hope that we are going to root for the fastest man in the world once again, like we did watching him outrun all of his opponents on the track.
