We do not think that many Barcelona fans expected that Luis Enrique Martinez Garcia would accomplish this much success.

Many of them were doubting this person once he arrived in Barcelona and took the coaching place. Some of them were saying that he didn’t reach the necessary level to lead such a great club as Barca. Especially because he did not win one single trophy with Roma and Celta Vigo.

Others were constantly reminding that he used to be a Real Madrid player before he came to Camp Now.

Now, three years after his arrival he leaves Catalonia with a lot of pride and dignity because of his work, and especially, with a lot of love from the fans.

“I feel happy because I have enjoyed a lot making Barca fans happy by winning trophies and that makes me proud,” Enrique told after yesterday’s game.
Luis Enrique won 9 trophies during the last three years, and yesterday, he led Barcelona for the last time as a coach and said farewell in a victorious manner, because his boys defeated Alaves 3-1 in the finals of Copa Del Rey. This is probably Luis Enrique’s favorite trophy as he won it each time in the previous three years.

“The trophy is for everyone. We are a big family. There are lots of people involved in helping the players perform, and this shows that things have been done well.”

What can we say about his time spent in Barcelona? In the beginning, most of the experts and fans were saying that Luis Enrique is still using Pep Guardiola’s team and that he wins trophies with the team already created. But to be honest is this claim valid? You have to remember that Barca hadn’t won any trophies under Tata Martino who let them before Enrique came.
He completely shifted the area of Barcelona’s play from the midfield closer to the opponents the goal, and the main players in the team were attackers. He created the famous MSN trio, Messi-Suarez-Neymar, who is probably the most dominant offensive line in the history of football. Previously the key players in Barcelona where the midfielders Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, etc.

It was him who made Barcelona more lethal than ever before. You have never seen this club so direct then under the leadership of Luis Enrique. He brought them closer to Johan Cruyff’s style of total football than using tika-taka as Pep Guardiola wanted.

He used the foundations that Guardiola established and took the game to the next level.

Also, we have to say that under his leadership Barcelona had one of the best winning percentages in history. 76.2%. In 181 games played, Barcelona won 138 times, 22 games ended without winners, and they put down only 21 defeat.
But the most important things are the trophies.

Two consecutive La Liga’s, three consecutive Copa Del Rey’s, one Supercopa de Espana, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Supercup and FIFA Club World Cup.

9 pieces of silverware from 13 possible. You have to admit that it is quite a good job.

So when someone says that Luis Enrique exploited Barcelona’s talent and the inherited the team from the previous coaches, you can tell him that he is ignorant.
This is our tribute to Luis Enrique’s legacy in Barcelona, which has to be recognized and honored.

He made something unique, and we are happy that we witnessed an era of Barcelona’s MSN trio, and thei version of tottal football.
